Who?You might know me as "James Barger" or "Jamie Barger." You might have met me at the University of Florida, or at Nease High School. Or, maybe we worked together at America Online (AOL), the Federal Reserve, TPI, or a small newspaper. About MeI live in the Chestnut Hill neighborhood of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, with a perfect son, a beautiful baby girl, a wonderful & patient wife, and an enthusiastic dog.
To help defray the cost of law school, I am still doing some web development work also. I specialize in usability analysis and server-side programming (ASP, PHP, ASP.Net, etc.), although I've dabbled in practically every aspect of e-Commerce and web development since I first started exploring the field in 1995, at America Online. It started as a bit of a hobby, much like the programming I did back when I was 12 years old and experimented with programming graphics and sound in the TI-BASIC language, on my Texas Instruments TI-99/4A. About This PageThis is merely an "index" page. It's not meant to show off design skills. More About Me

The library at my law school, Temple Law, in Philadelphia.
My alma mater, the University of Florida. Bachelor of Science in Journalism, 1994.
My digital camera, the Panasonic Lumix FZ20, which has a Leica lens and 12x optical zoom.
The only new car I ever bought. A bright yellow 1999 New Beetle GLX (turbo). I waited six months for the GLX edition -- the first New Beetle to be turbo-charged -- and got the third one in Jacksonville.
I live in the United States, which has worked out pretty nicely for me, although I'd love to live in Europe for a few years.
My first computer, the TI-99/4A (circa 1981-82). Saved TI-BASIC programs on cassette tapes. ![]() My latest computer is an Alienware tower PC. Incredible quality, performance, reliability, customer service, and style.
The other computer at home is an Apple iBook. I bought it for my wife, but I use it also. Why can't Windows be more like the Mac OS? |
